In the late 1990s I visited Taiwan a couple times for work. We had a group of people from work who would go over to Taiwan for a couple weeks of work. We would land in Taipei, spend a day or two in Taipei, then drive down to Taichung City for work. We would work in Taichung City for a week or two, then head back to Taipei to fly back home. We didn't do a ton of sightseeing due to work, but we would spend the weekends doing some sightseeing.
