Plaza de Bolivar, also known as Bolivar Square.

Bogota has become a hot spot for graffiti and street art in recent times.

A lot of the street graffiti and art is in the La Candelaria neighborhood.

Plazoleta del Chorro de Quevedo. It is believed that Bogotá was founded in Chorro de Quevedo Plaza on August 6, 1538.

A lot of the La Candelaria neighborhood has a colonial feel to it.

View of Monserrate from La Candelaria neighborhood. There is a cable car that you can take to Monserrate, or a funicular, or you can walk up the mountain.

More street art. If you are visiting Bogota, and want to understand why there is so much street art read some of the information online. And here is a little information: In 2011, after police killed 16 year-old Diego Felipe Becerra while he tagged his signature Felix the Cat, massive protests erupted throughout the city. This public uproar was partly responsible for the government relenting and ultimately downgrading graffiti from a crime, to where it is now condoned.
