Czech Republic
The Czech Republic is great. Prague and Cesky Krumlov are amazing, and Kutna Hora is a great day trip from Prague. I first visited Prague in 1999, then again in 2013 and 2019. During the 2013 trip, we (Megan and myself) visited Prague and Cesky Krumlov. Prague looked pretty much the same in 2013 as it did in 1999, but it was a completely different experience. In 1999 I stayed in someone's house for $8 a night that I first meet at the train station when I arrived. 1999 was only about 10 years after the fall of the wall, so things were changing quickly. Then in 2019, we (Michaela, John, Megan and myself) visited Prague and we did a day trip to Kutna Hora.

This is one of the two libraries at the Strahov Monastery. These libraries are really cool. You can't go inside the library, but you can look in the library and for a small fee you can take pictures. I paid a small fee to take the picture shown above. (2019)

The Pinkas Synagogue is a Holocaust memorial to nearly 80,000 Jewish victims. The walls contain the names of the victims. The picture above just shows a small percentage of all the names on the walls. If you visit the synagogue be sure to visit the Old Jewish Cemetery, which is right next to the synagogue. (2019)

Kutna Hora, Czech Republic (The Kutna Hora Pictures are from 2019)
This is a small town that is about an hour's train ride from Prague. It makes for a quick and easy day trip from Prague. It is a cute little town that has a church, the Sedlec Ossuary, which is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 40,000 and 70,000 people. The picture below are of the town and the Sedlec Ossuary.
