Portugal
In 2015 we visited Portual. We visited Lisbon, Evora and Sintra. The pictures below are the same pictures from the page that covers our 2015 trip. So if you already looked through out 2015 trip page, then skip this page.
Lisbon, Portugal

Overlooking the Alfama district of Lisbon, Portugal. The Alfama district was my favorite of Lisbon districts. It's hilly, with very narrow winding roads. It's a great place to walk through the streets and get lost.

The Decorative Arts Museum in Lisbon.

Lisbon is a lot like San Francisco. It has cable cars, like San Francisco. It's very hilly, like San Francisco. The 25 de Abril Bridge is a lot like the Golden Gate bridge, which is all great. The bad.... it has earthquakes like San Francisco.

Being serenaded in the Bairro Alto district of Lisbon.

The Baixa district of Lisbon.
Evora, Portugal

City center of Evora, Portual. Evora is an easy day trip from Lisbon by train. Here's a little trivia: Portugal produces over 50% of the world's cork, and most of that cork comes from the region where Evora is located. Also, there is no cork shortage, and cork usage is important to the economy of this region.

The Capela dos Ossos, or the Capel of the Bones is located in the Church of St. Fancis in Evora.

Yes, those are all human bones and skulls.

Remember that little tidbit about cork from above? Here I am in my styling cork hat. Party!!!

The Igreja Sao Joao church in Evora.
Sintra, Portugal

The town of Sintra. An easy day trip from Lisbon is the small town of Sintra and Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The park contains palaces, castles, ruins and gardens.

The Pena Palace in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

Another picture of the incredible Pena Palace.
